As an author of a managing fear book, I struggled with fear, anxiety, and stress for over 20 years. There were many times I felt like giving up because my fears and anxieties were stronger than what I could handle. It was difficult getting through a normal day and there were times I thought I was not going to make it. During those times, I could have been tempted to turn to alcohol and drugs to take away my fears, but deep down inside of me I knew that was not the answer.

As a person who has dealt with fear, anxiety, and stress for over 20 years, the number one thing I learned was to not take my mental health issues for granted and to get help.
When I first started dealing with my fear and anxieties, I thought that it was just a phase and that it would go away. I was wrong. My fears and anxieties would come and go on a semi-regular basis and it started to be a major factor in my life.

It can be very tough when a loved one is struggling with fear, anxiety, and addiction. The person who is struggling has their life spiraling out of control while family members watch helplessly in anguish. I struggled with fear and anxiety for a long time, and here are some suggestions I learned that a family member can do to help someone who is suffering.
